Marijuana in the Workplace: High Priorities for Employers

Increasing state-level legalization of recreational and medicinal marijuana adds further complexity for employers concerned with maintaining legal and relevant drug policies. As of July 1, 2015, Oregon will join Washington state in legalizing the recreational use of marijuana. This session will equip employers to understand applicable laws and assess how drug policies can be adapted for their workplace.

Jean Roque

Kyle Abraham

As an attorney for Barran Liebman, Kyle negotiates collective bargaining agreements, advises employers on labor matters, and represents employers before labor arbitrators. As a certified workplace investigator, Kyle conducts investigations into allegations such as employee misconduct, harassment, discrimination, and retaliation.

 

Pamela Mack

Owner of  Occuscreen, a full-service employment screening provider, helping employers nationwide make informed hiring decisions by providing background checks, verifications, and drug testing services. She is also President of the Portland Human Resource Management Association.
