Let’s get the year off to a great start by taking care of these HR related tasks for the month of January.
Review Safety for Remote Workers
Many employees work alone either off site, or on the road with no supervision. Employers need to ensure these employees’ safety just as they would for onsite employees.
Complete and Post OSHA Form 300, 300 A, 301
OSHA Injury & Illness Recordkeeping Forms (Form 300, 300A, 301) must be completed and posted in a conspicuous place from February 1 to April 30.
Hang Legally Required Posters
Be sure to hang legally required posters for the new Portland Sick Leave Law and the updated Oregon Family Leave Act (OFLA).
Update Payroll System
Don’t forget to update your payroll system with new medical, dental, and FSA deductions plus any other deductions your company offers which may have changed on January 1.
