Important employment and workplace considerations to accomplish for March.
Change to new Form I-9 for screening new employees
Start switching over to the updated Form I-9 with the revision date of October 21, 2019. Beginning on May 01, 2020, employers must be using the new Form I-9 for all employees. We recommend that employers start using the new form now for all new hires.
Review Employee Classification and Pay Practices to Comply with New FLSA Requirements
The new salary minimums for exempt status under the FLSA have gone into effect. Review current employee classifications and make necessary reclassifications and adjustments to comply with the new rules. With these adjustments, be sure you are avoiding pay compression and maintaining consistency in your pay practices.
Furnish 1095-C Schedules for 2019 and distribute ACA Form 1095 to Employees
