Webinar: 2026 Mid-year employment law updates
The second half of 2026 brings a new wave of employment law changes for employers, many with effective dates beginning mid-year. This one-hour webinar is designed for HR leaders and business owners who need a practical, business-focused update on what is changing now, what requires immediate action, and what should be monitored before year-end.
This session will focus on employment law developments taking effect mid-year 2026, including updates involving paid leave, wage and hour requirements, pay transparency, hiring practices, background checks, AI and automated employment tools, employee notices, restrictive covenants, workplace drug testing, and retirement savings programs.
Learning objectives:
- Identify key employment law changes taking effect mid-year 2026 across multiple states.
- Recognize compliance areas that may require immediate policy, payroll, handbook, or process updates.
- Understand how state and local requirements may differ from federal baseline obligations.
- Assess risk areas involving leave administration, wage and hour compliance, pay transparency, hiring, AI tools, employee notices, and restrictive covenants.
- Prioritize second-half 2026 compliance actions for multi-state workforces.
