Webinar: FMLA | Back to the Basics & Current Trends
Employee leave management has become increasingly complicated and technical, even for experienced HR professionals. Not only do eligible employers have to administer Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), but there are also several state-specific leave laws, state paid family leave, and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accommodation process to navigate. This triangle can be difficult to understand and administer properly.
This webinar will discuss leave basics, including California, Oregon, and Washington protected leave and ADA intersections.
After completing this course, the learner will:
- Understand the fundamental elements of the FMLA
- Understand the differences between FMLA, OFLA, CFRA, and Washington Paid Family and Medical Leave
- Learn how state leave laws intersect with FMLA and the ADA
- Learn current trends and best practices for administering family and medical leave
