Handling Harassment Complaints + Mitigating Risk – January 09

Now more than ever, employers are faced with combating workplace harassment following the #metoo movement. Not properly addressing employee harassment complaints can cause major damage to your business. Not only is harassment illegal, costly and claims and lawsuits are extremely costly. Courts are driving the point home with awards exceeding $150 million to victims.  Embracing a culture of anti-harassment and respect can go a long way to reduce employee turnover, increase retention, employee morale and productivity. This session will discuss what an employer’s obligations are, best practices for investigating complaints and steps to establish a workplace culture of trust and respect.
